About Me

I’m Jessica Waller, an experienced Psychotherapist registered with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy. I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy and specialise in addiction and addictive behaviours, trauma, relationship dynamics & children and young people.

I’m trained in the Person-Centred Theory of practice, which means I keep you at the centre of everything we do together. Although you know more about yourself than anyone else, there are times in life when you may be looking for someone to listen to you, help you process your emotions, or provide you with a different perspective.

I take a non-judgmental and empathic approach to therapy and mental health. Through counselling and psychotherapy, I’ll help you connect the dots in your life and create a better understanding of who you are and what your purpose is. My goal is to create a safe space for you to share your struggles while empowering you to live a happier and healthier life.

My Approach

Making the decision to come to therapy is the first step of many and it can make us feel vulnerable and nervous. This is completely normal. Let me first reassure you, there’s no expectation to tell me the deepest, darkest parts of your life straight away.

The first consultation will be the beginning of building our trust and relationship. My aim is to make all my clients feel safe, relaxed and supported within the space. I am here to listen to you, to help you and to guide you where appropriate, through whatever challenges you may be facing.

Within my work I like yo use different expressive tools to help you open up your emotions and these can be tailored to you. I’ll create a bespoke treatment plan for you integrating psychotherapy, timelines, meditation, visualisation, and creative expression.

I'm here to stand next to you and walk through this journey with you, we’ll face issues head-on together.

Crisis Intervention

For a person struggling with addiction it can be really chaotic, overwhelming and lonely. This unhealthy relationship can negatively impact their life, and in many cases, the lives of those around you.

It is often the case that the person has not yet admitted that they have developed a problem and are afraid to ask for help. For you as their loved ones it can be incredibly upsetting to watch them fall into the hands of addiction.

An intervention is when friends and family get together to confront the person about their dependency on their substance. It is done with a skilled professional, like myself, who has knowledge of addiction and therapeutic training.

Although the decision to stage an intervention is a difficult one, it could save your loved ones life.

If you have any questions about interventions then get in touch today.
